She has responsibility for the unit’s computers, radios, and global positioning equipment for the headquarters platoon and engineering platoons deployed in the field.

Lauren is a 2001 graduate of Ft. Hayes Metropolitan High School and attended the Ohio State University where she participated in the ARMY ROTC program. She is in her second term of enlistment in the Army Reserve, having previously served with the 256th Combat Support Hospital at the Blacklick Army Reserve Center in Columbus.

Specialist Lauren Fulton, 28, daughter of John Fulton of North Merkle Rd in Bexley, is awarded the Battalion Commander’s coin by Lt. Colonel Wyatt A. Lowery at a ceremony on January 1, 2012. The ceremony was conducted at Fulton's unit, the 721st Engineering Company which is deployed at a Forward Operating Base in southern Afghanistan, near Kandahar. Fulton was awarded the coin for the dedication to the unit’s communications during the initial phase of the unit’s deployment to Afghanistan.
